Mosquito Control

Mosquito Control & Prevention for Your Home

Mosquitos feast nearly year round

Mosquitoes are no stranger to Tennessee, affecting residents from as early as March and nearly the rest of the year if temperatures stay warm. From sunup to sundown, these blood-thirsty pests are on the lookout for their next blood meal – you. Other species’ bites occur at different times of day or night and range from shy or sneaky to boldly aggressive. One of the most common mosquitos in Tennessee is the Asian Tiger mosquito, which may carry West Nile Virus.

Control mosquitos, control disease

As a homeowner, there are some things that you can do to help prevent a mosquito boom. Ark Pest Control & Prevention can help you get a head start on the process and work with you to identify ways to make your home less hospitable to these annoying insects.

Ark’s mosquito treatment plan

Ark’s Mosquito Treatment plan includes monthly services starting as early as March and continuing through October (or longer depending on the weather). Ark mosquito control service is a two-fold approach:

  • A licensed mosquito control technician will inspect the area each month to locate breeding sites. The technician will eliminate and/or treat the identified breeding sites with a larvicide which eliminates mosquito larvae in water where they breed.
  • The technician then treats the areas of your yard where mosquitos love to rest such as tree lines, bushes, shrubs, tall grass areas and other growth areas.
