Wolf spiders are hairy spiders that do not make webs. They are nocturnal, and have reflective eyes, that will glow when flashed with light. They are camouflaged in appearance, consume insects, and will rarely bite humans, and in such are considered relatively harmless to humans. The bite of the wolf spider can cause swelling, mild pain, and itching.
Wolf spiders can venture indoors in search of warmth and will usually be found on ground-level around doors, windows, house plants, or in basements.
