The yellow sac spider is a small variety of spider, which seeks indoor refuge in the autumn to find food. They are attracted to the smell of gasoline. During the summer, when food is plentiful, they prefer to live outside on trees, shrubs, and in low vegetation.
The bite of the yellow sac spider is similar in nature to that of a wasp or hornet, causing immediate pain, followed by swelling and itching. Side effects may include chills, fever, headache, dizziness, nausea, anorexia, and sometimes shock.
