There are many species of yellowjackets, they are know for their black and yellow striped coloration. They are known to be found in the ground, or in cavernous areas around the house, such as in attics.

Yellowjackets feed on sweets and proteins and become aggressive in autumn when colonies begin to die out. They can pose a significant health threat to humans, and can sting repeatedly and cause allergic reactions.

Yellow Jacket Prevention

It is recommended that sweets and meats are not left accessible, making it less likely for yellowjackets to invade.
