Bed Bugs

Cimex Lectularius

Bed bugs get their name from their habit of living and feeding in beds. They will hide during the day, and come out at night for blood meals. The presence of bed bugs is often indicated by the appearance of red itchy bumps after sleeping in an infested area.

Bed bugs like to hide close to a human environment, in small cracks and crevices, as well as behind baseboards, in wallpaper, upholstery, ect. Bed Bugs do not transmit diseases, but their bits can become red itchy welts.

Bed Bugs Prevention

Self-prevention of bed bugs includes vacuuming of suitcases after returning from vacation, as well as visual inspection of bedsheets during hotel stays.
