Argentine Ant

Linepithema Humile

Argentine ant nests can grow to massive sizes. They can be identified by their small size, they also emit a musty odor when crushed.

These ants make nests in moist areas, and do not pose a serious health risk, but can contaminate food. They prefer sweets but will eat almost anything.

Argentine Ant Prevention

Argentine ant prevention includes eliminating standing water sources and moisture, as well as trimming branches, and sealing cracks/holes that these ants could use for entry into structures. Also make sure that firewood and wood sources are not stored near structures.
